1. What FlyTrap Mobile is
FlyTrap Mobile is a dispatch, documentation, and payment platform that connects vehicle owners with independent mobile mechanics. FlyTrap Mobile does not employ mechanics, own repair shops, or perform repairs.
2. Independent mechanics
Mechanics on the platform operate as independent businesses. They set their own labor rates, parts markup, schedules, and the jobs they accept. FlyTrap Mobile facilitates introductions, secure payment, and documentation only.
3. Customer responsibilities
Customers agree to provide accurate vehicle information, ensure a safe and legal location for the mechanic to work, and approve estimates before work begins.
4. Payments and disputes
Payments are processed securely through the platform after estimate approval. Disputes are reviewed using the documentation captured during the job (photos, signed estimates, message history, timeline).
5. Beta limitations
During the Lancaster County controlled beta, service availability, response times, and supported job types are limited. FlyTrap Mobile does not guarantee uninterrupted service during beta.
This is a beta-stage policy document for FlyTrap Mobile's Lancaster County controlled launch. Final, legally-reviewed versions will be published prior to statewide expansion.
