Mechanic Agreement

Independent contractor status
Mechanics on FlyTrap Mobile operate as independent contractors. You control your hours, your service area, your rates, your tools, and which jobs you accept. FlyTrap Mobile is not your employer.
Pricing & payouts
You set your own labor rate and parts markup. FlyTrap collects a transparent dispatch share per completed job. Founding mechanics receive a lifetime reduced dispatch share.
Documentation requirements
Every job requires before / after photos, a written or signed estimate, parts list, and a timestamped completion summary. This protects you in disputes and builds customer trust.
Conduct standards
Show up on time, communicate clearly through the app, never start work before estimate approval, and walk away from any unsafe job site. Harassment, threats, or off-platform payments are immediate removal.
Safety & right to refuse
You may decline or leave any job that feels unsafe — environmental, mechanical, or interpersonal — with no penalty to your rating during beta.
Verification & badges
ASE is not required. You may stack optional credibility badges (insurance, ASE, dealer cert, diesel, fleet, European, mobile diagnostic) by uploading proof during onboarding or later.
This is a beta-stage policy document for FlyTrap Mobile's Lancaster County controlled launch. Final, legally-reviewed versions will be published prior to statewide expansion.
